“This is the first time my friend and I visited Civitavecchia, flying in the night before our Norwegian cruise. We wanted to explore the port city but not do anything too intense so booked a cooking and dinner experience with Cesarine on GYG. There are a number of hosts and we were matched with Graziella Ammirabile and her husband. The tour included a cooking demonstration of a five course meal partially prepared at the host’s house which is a 10min taxi ride from the port. “This was a great experience with a lovely Italian family. From the moment we arrived to the end of the dinner we felt like part of their family! Good food and good conversation. Francesca had prepared a delicious meat and cheese tray as an appetizer along with prosecco wine. Then onto the demonstration of homemade gnocchi and sauce from her garden. You could get involved in the prep as much as you felt comfortable. Overall a great experience. The entire family was involved.”
