“First thing you need to know is that the peninsula is BIG, really big. And covered with nothing but scrub and guanacos, so not too much to look at. It is a long drive to get anywhere, and you will spend most of this tour in a vehicle. That said, we got great views of penguins, seals and sea lions (didn't see anything else but that was just unlucky). Our guide Fernando was very helpful and accommodating and we had a nice day.”

We weren’t able to get to the beach where the majority of penguins were. Not the driver or the guide’s fault as we had to get back to the ship. The minibus was cramped, not much legroom. At least we managed to see penguins in the wild. The toilet facilities at the colony were disgusting. They had no mains water for 72 hours, so no hand washing or flushing toilets.”

“We went to the national park and had to pay a separate $30 pp fee to enter. We saw a few land animal on the way and the driver would slow down or stop so we could get pictures. Unfortunately where we went on the Valdes peninsula is not where the bulk of the sea animals nest or hang out. We stopped to see penguins: there were a few nests and perhaps this was home to maybe 1k penguins (being generous), but in early March there were none. Tuvimos tiempo de ir a ver estatua del dinosaurio "Patagotita" y a tirarnos fotos. Y como era un tour de crucero, tuvimos suficiente tiempo de llegar al puerto y dar una vuelta por el área antes de entrar al barco. Recomiendo 100% a Sussanich Turismo.”
